Happy day .. start with a light finger food. With limited ingredients I made this delicious, hot salsa ... simple recipe as follows ..

2 Large tomatoes
1 green pepper
1 cucumber remove seeds
2 red onions
1 clove of garlic
chilly padi (small green chilly to taste) or you may use jalapeños
all ingredients chopped into cube

add 1 tablespoon of chopped cilantro, splashes of olive oil, 2 limes juice, 1 table spoon of apple cider, honey (to taste), pepper and salt (to taste)

toast the bread and cut into 6 squares, then top with salsa prepared above, and added Cheese of your choice .. voila..

I love it !

a Rock Evening

After dinner, we drove up to Batu Ferringhi this evening, pay a short visit to Hard Rock Hotel.

As we walked in the main lobby, I'm captivated by the Hard Rock light systems hanging from the high ceiling. it's gorgeous!

As mentioned in their website, its unconventional and entirely contemporary.

Commissioned Painting - Eastin Hotel, Penang

Guess what?! our project of commissioned artwork painting, printing, framing and mirrors for Eastin Hotel Penang is about to complete. Their official opening is on 12 Nov 2009. You may visit their Facebook fans page for news and upcoming events!

After a month long of hard work, most of the prints are up on the rooms and corridor's wall. Besides, we had been supplying them the dressing mirror as well for every room and it is now also been installed . pheew .. .. there are still some pending work to be done. .. but it's a success to all that involved in this projects, thanks to all parties that had been cooperate, especially the lift attendance :) .. who had been so helpful in our moving of heavy mirrors and delicate art prints.

Sometime, life seems a bit too complicated at one point, but no matter how difficult or complicated it is, you will still get through it, as time won't stop at one point. A new sunny morning still awaits you everyday. And, when you look back in time, it may not be as hard as you thought it was.

Commissioned Painting

Remember the Horizon painting which I made for a client? They had engaged us to paint for them, but they have changed their mind, instead of serene Horizon. They would like something colorful and cheerful. Discussion with the interior designers is still going on, the actual pieces are yet to be finalized.

Well, this is what I've been working on for the pass few days. How about you?

a Great Day!

It's a public holidays here in Malaysia for two days; Hari Raya. Our frame shop (ArtBug) too is closed for the holidays.

With the 'Closed' sign up, there are still some visitors pressing the door bell wanted to come in .. hmm .. I just answered the door saying that, 'Sorry, we are closed for the day'. I have changed lately, of my attitude. If it was for the last two years, I would say, 'Oh! welcome in'.

I think it is good that I've learnt to say 'No'. Getting some time to really enjoy the moment.

Though, I am working on a mock-up painting today for a client, but I do feel relaxed, I am enjoying the moment .. it has been quite sometime since my last painting. Love it! What do you think of this painting? the Horizon. The color and the artwork composition is requested by the client .. which is to fit their interior concept. Will send it to them by this Thursday . hope that they will love it!

Re-organized my Website

after a few weeks of delaying, finally I had gotten my website (www.ching-teoh.com) re-organized and up for browsing now.

just worry that the loading time of some images might be too slow.

a Weekend just passed

sometime, weekend is really tiresome.

how is your weekend spent? working? outing with family? or just relax watching tv, listening to music, DIY spa at home ? aromatic oil massage? a hike up the mountain? a lazy swim ? some romantic dinner?

when some good time being carried on and on repeatedly for every weekend, then it'll become some annoying time to be in.

looking forward to a getaway for a day or two. miss the days where we can just sit and do nothing.. a real Free & Easy. simple cozy quiet day.

have to pamper ourselves sometime. :)

looking at the calendar ... and yes it is really reaching the end of the 3rd quarter of 2009! OMG! I've almost spent the year doing NOTHING! ... fast fast fill the next quarter up with some exciting moments!
